Middlesex Water Company at a glance
- How the report is filed
- Test results go to the utility as set by its cross connection control program and the NJDEP permit; the company and NJDEP decide the reporting format. Source.
- Fee
- All costs of periodic testing and of reporting the results are the customer's responsibility; the tariff sets no company filing fee. Source.
- Approved testers
- No tester list on the Middlesex Water Company pages read here. Ask a New Jersey certified tester whether Middlesex Water Company has them on file.
Who must test
- Under the Middlesex Water tariff, customers must have every cross connection control device tested by a certified backflow tester as often as their NJDEP physical connection permit or the company's cross connection program requires. Source.
Tester registration
- At each test, the certified tester must also confirm in writing to the company's W4 licensed operator that there are no unmetered, unprotected connections upstream of the backflow preventer and meter. Source.
From notice to filed report, the steps are the same everywhere: how a backflow test goes.
