Who must test

  • Customers required to have a backflow device must have it tested every year by a qualified technician. All non-residential customers must comply, and most fire and lawn sprinklers need a testable device. Source.

Tester registration

  • Tests and repairs must be done by certified technicians: ASSE Series 5110 for testing and ASSE Series 5130 for repairs. Source.
