Corpus Christi Water (City of Corpus Christi) Backflow...

Who must test

CCW requires every assembly to be tested on installation, repair, replacement or relocation; assemblies on high health hazards must be tested annually by a certified tester. Source.
All irrigation systems need a pressure vacuum breaker tested on installation, repair, replacement or relocation; systems with chemical additives or on properties with septic systems need a reduced pressure assembly tested annually. Source.
Under amended City Code Section 55-37, properties with both a private well and city water must get a customer service inspection; if a cross connection is found, an RP assembly goes at the meter and is tested annually, otherwise re-inspection every 3 years. Source.

The T and M report must be submitted within 10 calendar days of the test; a late report is rejected by the compliance engine and the device must be retested. Source.

Testers register online with Vepo LLC and submit the Test and Maintenance report online, paying the filing fee by credit card; failed and removed assemblies are also reported. Source.

Per the Development Services BPAT registration packet (Form DSD-1010, rev. 6/27/2019), testers provide their training certificate, TCEQ licence, a gauge certification under 1 year old, a Texas driver's licence, pay an annual $163.35 registration fee, and register with Vepo LLC. Source.
Registration requires a testing gauge certification not over one year old; the manufacturer's gauge test is not accepted. Fire line testers also need a notarized employer letter with the company's SCR number. Source.

Each T and M report carries a $20 filing fee charged per device; no filing fee is charged for a removal. Source.
