Who must test
- A backflow assembly is required whenever culinary (drinking) water will or may be used for irrigation; the recommended type is a reduced pressure zone assembly (RPZ). Source.
- No backflow assembly is required if secondary water is the only supply for the irrigation system. Source.
Notices and deadlines
- Backflow assemblies must be tested by a certified backflow technician within 10 days of initial use and every year after that. Source.
How the report is filed
- A certified backflow tester submits annual results, including the meter ID from the water bill, to Herriman City through the Backflow Testing Portal (UtiliSync, inspect.utilisync.app) or by email to mtolbert@herriman.gov. Source.
Fees
- The listed prequalified providers agreed to residential test prices of $45 (Clearwater Backflow Services) and $50 (Bryson Consulting & Services). Source.
