Who must test
- League City owners are responsible for the annual test of their backflow prevention devices and pay for the testing. Source.
Notices and deadlines
- BSI sends testing due and overdue notices to customers, listing the last tester of record; testing is due on the same date each year, not a year from the last test. Source.
How the report is filed
- Test reports for existing and replacement devices can only be submitted online through BSI Online by certified testers, within 48 hours of the test date. Source.
Tester registration
- Certified testers register through the city's Online Permit Portal with a nonrefundable $75 annual fee, valid government photo ID, valid TCEQ license and proof of test equipment calibration. Source.
Fees
- Owners pay a one-time registration fee of $35 for each backflow device. Source.

If a test is missed
- An owner who does not get the annual test performed and reported through BSI faces escalated enforcement that may include termination of water service and a $40 processing fee. Source.
