How the report is filed
Initial certified test results must be filed with the city. Waco's Forms and Information page links a Backflow Prevention Web Portal (backflow.waco-texas.com, run on SpryPoint) where testers and companies register and submit tests. Source.
If a test is missed
If a point of use assembly has not had its required testing or repair, the city can require a premises isolation assembly at the meter. Source.
Approved testers
No tester list on the City of Waco Water Utility Services pages read here. Ask a Texas certified tester whether City of Waco Water Utility Services has them on file.

Who must test

  • Backflow protection is required where a fire suppression system is connected to city water, at all multistory buildings or buildings with a booster pump or elevated tank, and at premises with multiple service connections, among other cases. Source.

Program

  • Waco's Water and Sanitary Sewer Design Manual (2023, section 4.17) requires a privately owned, city approved backflow prevention device on any connection that could contaminate the public water system, under Chapter 26, Article VII of the city code. Source.

From notice to filed report, the steps are the same everywhere: how a backflow test goes.
