Who must test
- Anderson City Code 50.052 (Ord. 50-06) requires backflow prevention devices to be tested upon installation and periodically after that under 327 IAC 8-10. Source.
- Backflow prevention devices on the customer's service line must be located immediately downstream of the utility's meter and installed horizontally 12 to 60 inches above the finished floor. Source.
- A private fire protection system without a tank needs an alarm valve and a double check valve on the incoming line; a system containing antifreeze needs a reduced pressure principle backflow preventer. Source.
